We’re often troubled by the need to “work out” more but so many things stop us. You see people packed into gyms doing exercise, and think : well, I must drive to the gym, pay for my membership fee, then get to do some exercise. It seems like too much trouble, isn’t there something I can do that’s not going to throw away a lot of my time – something that’s even useful?

So you might consider cycling, as biking around is a superb means to improve one’s well-being . You can cycle to work or to the shops, so it’s rather pragmatic. It’s also cost-effective – there’s no fuel involved and the maintenance are negligable. It’s also eco-friendly. Oh, and it improves your health too!

Yet many people are put off getting a bicycle since it’s TOO much effort. As odd as it may sound, consider that they might be elderly, suffer from particular ailments, be elderly, or live in a hilly location that make bicycling too “hardcore” for their abilities. And for some individuals, it’s not realistic bicycling to their work since they will sweat too much because of the efforts of bicycling.

So this is where e-bikes, or electric bikes come in. E-bikes give you a break on the challenging slopes merely by turning your hand on the handlebar and letting the electric motor take over – you don’t need to do any peddling then. Then when you feel up to it, just pedal. You get modest exercise and clean air without over-doing it. E-bikes are also cheap to run requiring only a daily recharge if you do about 30-40k a day, although most people need only a couple of recharges a week as they’re not doing this kind of mileage. For the more adventurous, there are even mountain ebikes for those who want to get out into the countryside but don’t quite have the calf muscles to scale the slopes.

These days the actual cost of getting an e-bike have dropped in price, so you can save yourself a lot of cash on bus fares, fuel, gym memberships etc. by buying and regularly using an e-bike.
